Y2KBox Privacy Policy

Y2KBox Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 20, 2026

Y2KBox is a local Y2K pixel wallpaper app. The current app does not require an account, does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking, and does not transmit user-created wallpaper data off your device.

Information We Collect

Y2KBox does not collect personal information from the current app. The app does not create user accounts, ask for contact details, collect location data, or send wallpaper drafts to a server.

Recent drafts and preview unlock state are stored locally on your device using app-private storage. This data is used only to keep your recent edits and local app state available inside Y2KBox.

Photos Permission

Y2KBox requests Photos add-only permission only when you choose to save a finished wallpaper. This permission lets the app add the exported wallpaper to your Photos library. Y2KBox does not browse your photo library.

Tracking, Analytics, And Advertising

The current version of Y2KBox does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, account login, third-party tracking, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell user data.

Data Sharing And Retention

Because the current app does not transmit user-created wallpaper data off your device, we do not share that data with third parties. Local drafts remain on your device until the app overwrites, removes, or the operating system clears local app data.

Children's Privacy

Y2KBox is a wallpaper creation tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy if Y2KBox changes how it handles data. If a future version adds account login, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, server-side purchase receipt processing, support forms, crash reporting, or similar features, this policy and the App Store privacy information must be reviewed and updated.
